Help Promote E4E!

Ways to promote EQUIPPED FOR EXCELLENCE in your church:

  1. Personal enlistment by the pastor, Sunday School Director and/or Division/Department Director. Seek a verbal commitment.
  2. Send a letter to each worker. Enclose a copy of the appropriate course content and a registration form.
  3. Start early. It’s not too early to start promoting Equipped for Excellence.
  4. Post the flyers. White copies are included in your promotional packet for easy duplication.
  5. Ask those who have attended Equipped for Excellence in the past to give testimonies.
  6. Use the quotes from conferee evaluations on the blue sheet in your promotional packet.
  7. Pastors, promote Equipped for Excellence from the pulpit. Have the church pay for anyone who wishes to attend. (Total payment would be best, but even a partial amount would be appreciated.)
  8. Have participants pay their registration fee and offer to reimburse them if they attend.
  9. Although not necessarily recommended, at least one church requires each Sunday School worker to attend Equipped for Excellence, if they want to continue serving.
  10. Put posters in every classroom and around the church.
  11. Put publicity material in the Sunday School records that go to each class and department.
  12. Nominate appropriate people for the John Schiveley Teacher of the Year Award. Recognize nominees in worship. (A Certificate of Nomination will be sent to the church for each individual nominee. This would be suitable for presentation in worship.)
  13. Stress that attending Equipped for Excellence will help workers complete a Sunday School leadership Diploma.
  14. Invite the Director of Equipped for Excellence to your church service, or to your Sunday School Worker’s meeting.
  15. Send the Associational Office a list of all of your Sunday School workers, along with their addresses, and they will each receive a personal invitation to attend Equipped for Excellence.
